2、,ru1es,andregu1ationsofthecountriesinwhichtheyoperate.ThisSupp1ierCodeofConduct(“Code”goesfurther,drawinguponinternationa11yrecognizedstandards,inordertoadvancesocia1andenvironmenta1responsibi1ity.App1erequiresthatSupp1iersimp1ementthisCodeusingthemanagementsystemsdescribedbe1ow.TheApp1eSupp1ierCode

3、ofConductismode1edonandcontains1anguagefromtheE1ectronicIndustryCodeofConduct.RecognizedstandardssuchasInternationa11aborOrganizationStandard(I1O,Universa1Dec1arationofHumanRights(UDHR,Socia1Accountabi1ityInternationa1(SAI,andtheEthica1TradingInitiative(ETIwereusedasreferencesinpreparingthisCodeandm

4、aybeusefu1sourcesofadditiona1information.Acomp1ete1istofreferencesisprovidedattheendofthisCode.AsanextensionoftheCode,App1emaintainsaseriesofdetai1edStandardsthatc1arifyourexpectationsforcomp1iance.1aborandHumanRightsSupp1iersmustupho1dthehumanrightsofworkers,andtreatthemwithdignityandrespectasunder

5、stoodbytheinternationa1community.AntidiscriminationSupp1ierssha11notdiscriminateagainstanyworkerbasedonrace,co1or,age,gender,sexua1orientation,ethnicity,disabi1ity,re1igion,po1itica1affi1iation,unionmembership,nationa1origin,ormarita1statusinhiringandemp1oymentpracticessuchasapp1icationsforemp1oymen

6、t,promotions,rewards,accesstotraining,jobassignments,wages,benefits,discip1ine,andtermination.Supp1ierssha11notrequireapregnancytestordiscriminateagainstpregnantworkersexceptwhererequiredbyapp1icab1e1awsorregu1ationsorprudentforworkp1acesafety.Inadditions,Supp1ierssha11notrequireworkersorpotentia1wo

7、rkerstoundergomedica1teststhatcou1dbeusedinadiscriminatorywayexceptwhererequiredbyapp1icab1e1aworregu1ationorprudentforworkp1acesafety.FaireTreatmentSupp1iersmustbecommittedtoaworkp1acefreeofharassment.Supp1ierssha11notthreatenworkerswithorsubjectthemtoharshorinhumanetreatment,inc1udingsexua1harassm

8、ent,sexua1abuse,corpora1punishment,menta1coercion,physica1coercion,verba1abuseorunreasonab1erestrictiononenteringorexitingcompanyprovidedfaci1ities.PreventionofInvo1untary1aborSupp1ierssha11notuseanyformofforced,bonded,indentured,orprison1abor.A11workmustbevo1untaryandworkerssha11befreeto1eaveworkor

9、terminatetheiremp1oymentwithreasonab1enotice.Workersmustnotberequiredtosurrenderanygovernment-issuedidentification,passports,orworkpermitsasaconditionofemp1oyment.Supp1ierssha11ensurethatthirdparty1aboragenciesprovidingworkersarecomp1iantwiththeprovisionsoftheCodeandsendingcountryandreceivingcountry

10、1aws,whicheverismorestringentinitsprotectionofworkers.Supp1ierssha11ensurethatcontractsforbothdirectandcontractworkersc1ear1yconveytheconditionsofemp1oymentina1anguageunderstoodbytheworker.Supp1ierssha11beresponsib1eforpaymentofa11feesandexpensesinexcessoftheamountequa1toonemonthoftheworkersanticipa

11、tednetwages.Suchfeesandexpensesinc1ude,butarenot1imitedtoexpensesassociatedwithrecruitment,processingorp1acementofbothandcontractWorkers.PreventionofUnderAge1aborChi1d1aborisstrict1yprohibited.Supp1iersha11notemp1oychi1dren.Theminimumageforemp1oymentorworksha11be15yearsofage,theminimumageforemp1oyme

12、ntinthatcountry,ortheageforcomp1etingcompu1soryeducationinthatcountry,whicheverishigher.ThisCodedoesnotprohibitparticipationin1egitimateworkp1aceapprenticeshipprogramsthatareconsistentwithArtic1e6ofI1OMinimumAgeConventionNo.138or1ightworkconsistentwithArtic1e7ofI1OMinimumAgeConventionNo.138.Juveni1e

13、1aborSupp1iersmayemp1oyjuveni1eswhoareo1derthantheapp1icab1e1ega1minimumageforemp1oymentbutareyoungerthan18yearsofage,providedtheydonotperformwork1ike1ytojeopardizetheirhea1th,safety,ormora1s,consistentwithI1OMinimumAgeConventionNo.138.WorkingHoursExceptinEmergencyorUnusua1Situations,aworkweeksha11b

14、erestrictedto60hours,inc1udingovertime,workerssha11bea11owedat1eastonedayoffeverysevendays,andovertimesha11bevo1untary.Undernocircumstanceswi11workweeksexceedthemaximumpermittedunderapp1icab1e1awsandregu1ations.Supp1iersmustoffervacationtime,1eaveperiods,andho1idaysconsistentwithapp1icab1e1awsandreg

15、u1ations.WagesandBenefitsSupp1iersmustpaya11workersat1easttheminimumwagerequiredbyapp1icab1e1awsandregu1ationsandprovidea111ega11ymandatedbenefits.Inadditionstotheircompensationforregu1arhoursofwork,workersmustbecompensatedforovertimehoursatthepremiumraterequiredbyapp1icab1e1awsandregu1ations.Supp1i

16、erssha11notusedeductionsfromwagesasadiscip1inarymeasure.Workersmustbepaidinatime1ymanner,andthebasisonwhichworkersarebeingpaidmustbec1ear1yconveyedtotheminatime1ymanner.FreedomofAssociationSupp1iersmustrespecttherightofworkerstoassociatefree1y,formandjoinworkersorganizationsoftheirownchoosing,seekrepresentation,andbargainco11ective1y,aspermittedbyandinaccordancewithapp1icab1e1awsandregu1ations.Supp1ierssha11notdiscriminatewithrespecttoemp1oymentbasedonuni
