4、ationic1atexonsugarcanefibreswereinvestigated,inc1udingthetimeofadsorption,theconcentrationof1atex,pH,temperatureandionicstrength.Theadsorptionkineticsandthermodynamicswerea1sostudied.Theobtainedadsorptionexperimenta1datafitthe1angmuiradsorptionmode1we11,andthemaximumtheoretica1adsorptioncapacityofthenanopartic1esonthesugarcanefibresreached197.6mgg-1.TGAana1ysiswasusedtofurtherquantifytheamountofadsorption.Thewatercontactang1eofthemodifiedfibrewasincreasedfrom0to980,comparedwiththeuntreatedfibre,whichindicatesthatthesugarcanefibreswererenderedhydrophobicbythecationicnanopartic1es.
