12、阅读放在课外，由学生自主完成，课内主要对作家和作品的背景知识、篇章结构、主题思想、写作风格、修辞手段等作简要的介绍、分析与评论。侧重学生的参与性，启发学生对文学作品进行深入思考，并联系个人、社会、文化问题进行讨论。九、考核方式及成绩评定考核方式：闭卷笔试成绩评定标准：平时成绩占40%,期末成绩占60%。平时成绩包括出勤、课堂参与、讨论、读书报告、课后阅读作业等，学生按要求提交读书报告，教师根据读书报告质量，以及学生出勤、课堂参与讨论、课后阅读作业次数综合给出平时成绩。十、教材及主要参考书指定教材:1英国文学选读（第4版），王守仁主编，高等教育出版社，2011o参考书目:1、(1) English Literature in Context.
